Welcome to the Utah Department of Corrections. We are a State agency responsible for overseeing all areas of adult corrections in Utah.
The nearly 2,400 employees of the Utah Department of Corrections come to work every day with two priorities in mind - ensuring public safety and encouraging offender success. Dedicated Corrections employees help ensure the safety of Utah's communities by supervising some 6,500 incarcerated inmates and another 16,000 offenders on probation and parole.

Friday Building and Office Closures
The Utah Department of Corrections has implemented Gov. Jon M. Huntsman Jr.'s Working 4 Utah initiative in many of its buildings and offices. Click here for a complete list of offices that have shifted to a compressed workweek. These offices will be open Monday through Thursday, from 7 a.m to 6 p.m., and closed on Fridays.
